If you purchased a sick puppy, please:

Fill out the CAPS Pet Shop & Online Seller Complaint Form for both pet shop dogs and those purchased over the internet. We need this information before we can assist you. We get many complaints and need the information in hand before we can talk with you over the phone; please do NOT call first as it will only slow down the process.  It is important to list breeder and if possible, broker names, so that we can use this information for investigations.

If you are reporting poor conditions at a pet shop:

Fill out the CAPS Pet Shop Conditions Complaint Form. If you have questions about a particular breeder, please email us with the name and location of that breeder.

We need this information in hand (email) before we can help and/or return phone calls. Without this info we cannot determine whether your puppy came from a puppy mill or not.  

File a complaint with a state attorney general or, depending on your state, a department of agriculture.

Check the Complaints section of our website to see if we have a link to these forms. Get our current list at: Attorney General Complaint Forms. If not, do an online search. Some states have puppy lemon laws. Look under Laws and Legislation on our website for links to these laws.
