Summary: Officials in Arlington Heights said they have decided to await the outcome of an Illinois appellate court ruling before drafting a local puppy mill ordinance.

Like CAPS Illinois Director Ida McCarthy mentions in the article, CAPS is hopeful that when the new ordinance is finally written, the law will have “more teeth” than the county’s, which allows stores to sell dogs from hobby breeders with five females or less.
