CAPS Releases Trailer for Kern County Animal Cruelty Documentary

03/13/2025

Documentary exposing horrific abuse will be used to try to get funding for countywide animal cruelty task force

Kern County, California has a horrible animal cruelty epidemic. The crimes happening there are shocking, and none of them are being investigated or prosecuted. CAPS’ emails and calls to the district attorney and the deputy DA in charge of the Rural Crime Investigation Unit have gone unanswered. CAPS is currently making a short documentary about Kern County’s animal cruelty in order to obtain state funding for a countywide animal cruelty task force. While it may be difficult for many of you to watch the trailer for this documentary, it is critical for us to witness the horrors so that we can take action.
