CAPS San Diego Campaign Coordinator Sydney Cicourel would like to sincerely thank the Westfield Horton Plaza management in San Diego for making the humane decision to not execute a lease to a puppy seller called San Diego Puppy. Cicourel stated, “After a long discussion with Michael McIntosh, General Manager of Horton Plaza, it was decided that having such a tenant would be contraindicated for their business model.”
CAPS commends this decision and hopes that perhaps Westfield may just become the example for other shopping centers considering tenants selling products rooted in cruelty! CAPS is also looking to discuss the “humane model” with Westfield regional corporate headquarters across the US.
