Providing resources on the availability of low-cost spay/neuter is important to curbing animal overpopulation and to decreasing the number of dogs and cats in shelters
CAPS’ PSA about spaying and neutering is now airing on hundreds of local television and radio stations nationwide. As part of our National Latino Outreach Campaign, our primary focus is on obtaining wide distribution for the Spanish version.
The English version is also airing in some parts of the country, and we are really excited to announce that CNN is now airing the PSA nationally. The CNN placement has resulted in numerous calls and messages from viewers seeking information on low cost spay and neuter resources.
CAPS’ recent placement of the PSA on Telemundo in Puerto Rico has brought about many inquiries from Spanish speakers seeking low cost spay/neuter services on the island. The CAPS website has a bilingual resource page on the importance of spay/neuter and vaccinations. This page has fliers, the PSAs and an edited video of the Despierta America segment that features the PSA and an interview with Jacqueline ,Piñol, the actress and animal advocate who stars in the Spanish and English versions. The CAPS website can be fully translated into Spanish.
These placements would not have been possible without the amazing services of the nonprofit public relations professional we hired for our PSAs. But we need generous support from our donors in order to continue using him. Please help us spread the message about spaying and neutering by donating now!
