From Lauren Schuster, Esq from Assemblymember Rosenthal’s office. Begging! Last day to act on mill dogs sold in pet stores…
Hi Everyone,
Lauren here from Assemblymember Rosenthal’s office. As I am sure you have all heard by now, Assemblymember Rosenthal passed A.740-A last night in the Assembly. We have all been working really hard to get this bill through because it will restore municipality’s authority to regulate pet dealers, and ultimately help put an end to puppy mills. Assemblymember Rosenthal and Senator Grisanti are dedicated to passing this bill and making it law, but we have just heard that there is a group of Republican senators who are working to block the bill. The fate of this bill is in serious jeopardy.
At this point, we really need to mobilize. We are working on our end to head this off, but we need to generate tons of calls into Senate offices starting now. I know you have all been emailing and using FB and Twitter and for that we cannot thank you enough, but we need calls and we need them now.
If there is any group that can do this, I know that it is this one! You are some of the most dedicated advocates for animal rights we have ever worked with. We need your help now. Please share this email with your friends wherever they live and ask them to make calls as well.
