Animals in Staten Island need YOUR help

Two weeks ago, Superstorm Sandy swept through the East Coast, affecting numerous states. My heart goes out to all individuals who suffered as a result, in particular CAPS’ members and protesters in the state of New York. While families are struggling to get back on their feet, many animals are also dealing with the storm’s aftermath. Greatly affected are feral cats whose shelters were destroyed by the heavy rains and wind. Please donate to theStaten Island Hope Animal Rescue, a wonderful group that has been working non-stop to help companion animals amidst this period of restoration. CAPS already sent them a check this week, will you?  If you live in the area, please drop off cat food, dog food, and/or cat litter at theSusan E. Wagner High School which is serving as a shelter for people and animals displaced by the storm. Please check the links below to help our four-legged friends in need.

Sincerely,

Deborah Howard
CAPS President
